RUN-OFF ELECTION TO STAY IN VINELAND

Vineland City Council has decided to keep a run-off as a way to decide who will be mayor. Council was weighing the options of eliminating it all together. Council thought it best to keep it, so someone doesn’t get the seat with a low vote percentage in the event of multiple candidates. A run-off election would be held one month after the regular election, and would take place between the top two vote getters, if no one cracks 50 percent.
