ROAD WORK PLANS FOR NORTH WILDWOOD SET

henfeyThe offseason road work in North Wildwood has been decided upon. North Wildwood Mayor Bill Henfey told Coastal Broadcasting of the following improvements:

– The main sewer line will be replaced on Surf Ave. from 18th to 11th sts.

– Total reconstruction will take place on Chestnut Ave. from Old New Jersey to New York aves.

– Sewer, storm drain, curbs and gutters on North Delaware Ave. from 2nd St. to Spruce Ave.

– Bulkheads repairs at Maryland Ave. and 17th St.

The North Delaware work will be the first to take place, according to Henfey. Money being used from these projects has already been allocated and will not need to be additional raised from the taxpayers. Most of the funding is coming from the United States Department Agriculture and the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

Henfey said the city is still waiting on permit approval from the Department of Environmental Protection for the bulkhead work.
