RIVERA-SOTO COULD BE ASKED FORMALLY TO RESIGN

The state senate is considering a resolution that would ask Supreme Court Judge Roberto Rivera-Soto to resign. Rivera-Soto at one point was saying that he wasn’t going to put rulings in while a temporary justice was sitting on the bench. The temporary justice was based on a disagreement over who should sit on the bench between Gov. Chris Christie and Democratic lawmakers. The senate may vote today to approve the resolution to ask Rivera-Soto to step down. He already said he doesn’t want Christie to renominate him when his term is up.
