REVEL SALE DENIED BY BANKRUPTCY JUDGE

The proposed sale of the bankrupt Revel Casino to Glen Straub for $82 million was not approved by a federal judge on Friday. Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Gloria Burns said she lacked the jurisdiction to move the sale forward, as several appeals of the sale have yet to be decided in federal court. The appeals were brought by former tenants of the casino, along with Revel’s energy supplier. The tenants want their leases honored by any new owners so their businesses can reopen.
