mbeckThe Cape May County Conference of Mayors is supporting legislation that would avoid major hikes to flood insurance in the country. Lower Township Mayor Mike Beck tells Coastal Broadcasting, as the president of the organization, that it is important for local residents to avoid getting smacked over the head with a huge increase. Among of the key components of the legislation is an affordability study on flood insurance. The worry was many wouldn’t be able to afford to stay in their homes if nothing was done.
