RESCUE IN THE SURF IN OCEAN CITY WEDNESDAY

A mother and a daughter are both safe and sound after being rescued from the surf in Ocean City Wednesday afternoon.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that the two females were caught in a current and taken away from the shoreline Wednesday afternoon at 9th Street where some of the beach has been eroded away.  They were pulled in by rescuers, and suffered no injuries.  There are no lifeguards working on the Ocean City beaches this time of year.
