REPUBLICANS CLOSING THE FUNDRAISING GAP IN THE STATE

Democrats are still the fundraising kings in the state, but Republicans are not far behind. The top three fundraising committees for both parties raised a total of $2.2 million for the first half of the year, with Democrats taking in $1.3 million. Having Gov. Chris Christie as the head of the state is being looked at as the main reason for the GOP headway.
