REPORT: WEST WILDWOOD BLAMES FORMER SOLICITOR FOR LAWSUIT MESS

West Wildwood officials are blaming its former solicitor for legal advice that led them to an uncovered legal settlement involving its police chief.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that Commissioners told an audience at Wednesday’s meeting that elected officials followed the advice of attorney Mary Bittner at the time, which led to a major settlement in favor of the chief to be borne by taxpayers, and not insurance.  The two remaining commissioners were asked by residents to resign.
