REPORT: SHORE MEMORIAL OFFERS BUYOUTS TO EMPLOYEES

Shore Memorial Hospital is ready to trim its payroll.  According to an online report by the Press of  Atlantic City, the hospital has offered buyouts to 360 of its 1,600 workers.  Hospital CEO Ronald Johnson says that the rising expenses associated with charity care have forced the hospital to offer the buyouts and trim its payroll.  The hospital has seen a recent drop in admissions.
