The Revel Casino could have been closed this week. A new report by the AP says that the owners of the casino wanted to shut it down on Aug. 18, but the state Division of Gaming Enforcement wouldn’t allow it. The two sides eventually agreed on shutting down on Sept. 1 and 2, with the hotel closing first and then the casino. Revel is one of three casinos closing in the next month that will leave Atlantic City with 8 casinos.
