REPORT: NUMBER OF VINELAND EVENTS BEING CANCELLED DUE TO ECONOMY

A new report says a number of staple events in Vineland are being eliminated this year. The Daily Journal reports that Thunder on the Avenue, the Soap Box Derby, Tournament of the Tomatoes, and the New Year’s Eve event will all not take place this year. The paper got the information from Vineland Downtown Improvement District Executive Director Todd noon. Cuts proposed by Gov. Chris Christie are the main reason for the necessity to cut these programs, including the withholding of all Urban Enterprise Zone funding.
