REPORT: NJ BEACH TOWN TO FILE SUIT IF SUMMER BEACH NOURISMENT PROJECT ARRIVES

The mayor of one New Jersey beach community says he will file a lawsuit to stop a beach nourishment project to restore the beaches following Hurricane Sandy.  Seaside Heights Mayor Anthony Vaz is supportive of the project, but believes it will destroy his town’s summer economy if it occurs during the summer months.  NJ.com reports that Vaz believes he should shut his town down if the beaches are disrupted by a construction project during the summer.
