REPORT: MATTHEWS TO PLAY FOOTBALL AT RUTGERS

Lower Cape May Regional High School’s best football player from last season will be lacing up his cleats at Rutgers University.  The Gazette Leader’s Brian Cunniff reports that Matthews has decided to join the Scarlet Knights football team as a walk on player this summer.  Matthews scored a dozen touchdowns last season for the Caper Tigers.  Matthews was also a basketball standout at Lower Cape May, scoring 15.5 points per game last season.
