REPORT: MAJOR LOSS FOR ST. JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC CHURCH SUPPORTERS IN SEA ISLE

Bishop Dennis Sullivan has decreed the St. Joseph’s Church in Sea Isle City is no longer a church.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that this is a reaction to major renovations needed at the building, and the parish cannot take on additional debt.  A group of parish members in Sea Isle City have attempted to keep the church open and functional, but that attempt appears to have come to an end.
