REPORT: LOWER TWP. TABLES PLANS FOR FISHING PIER

800px-Township_of_Lower_Muncipal_Building_NJLower Township wanted a promenade and fishing pier, but right now those plans are on hold.  Township officials recently told Coastal Broadcasting that Council has tabled plans for the pier because costs have escalated to around $3 million.  The Township has conditional approval for over a million dollars in grant funding available for the project.  The township instead will focus on a new police complex in the Villas.
