REPORT: HURRICANE AID DIDN’T HELP HURRICANE COMMUNITIES

Another major criticism of the Christie administration over the weekend.  The Star Ledger conducted an analysis of Hurricane Sandy relief housing aid and it shows that money went to communities that were not impacted by the storm.  The report says one third of the $47.6 million earmarked for affordable housing complex wound up in Essex and Middlesex counties while communities like Ocean County saw very little.  6.8 percent of the funding wound up in Cape May County.
