REPORT: HOSPITALS SHOULD NOT EXPECT STATE FUNDING FOR CHARITY CARE

Some grim news for New Jersey hospitals: They should not count on funding from the state to provide charity care until a new budget is approved.  New Jersey Advance Media reports that the news was delivered to hospital executives this week.  The state could be headed to a government shutdown unless a new budget agreement is approved in 18 days.
