REPORT: CUMBERLAND COUNTY LAYOFFS DELAYED

The fate of 106 workers in Cumberland County has been put on hold. The Daily Journal reports that the delay has been put into place so that the United Auto Workers Local 2327 can work with the county to try and come with concessions that will keep them employed. There is a $1.6 million shortfall in the county budget for 2011. The delays could last up to seven weeks.
