REPORT: CAPE MAY IN TALKS OF TOURISM UTILITY

A tourism utility could be coming to Cape May. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the city is planning on talking about the idea during an Oct. 4 work session. The report says the Mayor Ed Mahaney is considering the utility ahead of the completion of the new convention center. The new center is set to be open up by Memorial Day 2012. The new utility would help fund tourism expenses, out of fund created by profits of the Convention Hall.
