REFERENDUM QUESTION LOOMS IN NOVEMBER OVER SCHOOL FUNDING ISSUE

A referendum question will be placed on the November ballot that will ask voters if the State should borrow a half billion dollars to pay for public school projects.  The funding would largely pay for extra security, better water service, and expanding county college programs.  Governor Murphy balked at the State spending the money and decided to place it before voters.
