The black sea bass season will be shorter this year than last. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the New Jersey Marine Fisheries Council approved a plan that would take five weeks out of the season. Anglers will be allowed to fish from May 28 to Sept. 11 and from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31. The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission said the season need to be reduced.
