RAIL STATION COULD BE COMING TO ATLANTIC CITY AIRPORT

On Monday a New Jersey Assembly committee advanced legislation that would facilitate travel for passengers flying into or out of Atlantic City, by providing train service to their final destination. The bill (A-3699) would direct the New Jersey Department of Transportation and New Jersey Transit, in consultation with the South Jersey Transportation Authority, to construct a rail station at Atlantic City International Airport. The station would then connect to the existing rail service provided by NJ Transit. The bill would appropriate capitol funding for the construction and completion of the rail station through the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Authority.
