PROPERTY TAX RELIEF LAW WILL EXPIRE TUESDAY

A key law in New Jersey that local officials say keeps property taxes in check is set to expire on Tuesday.  The law that regulated two percent interest caps on interest arbitration awards was not renewed by lawmakers before the weekend meaning the law will expire on Tuesday.  The State Assembly failed to vote before the weekend on a revision to the law suggested by the Christie administration.  Various unions may not be subjected to the cap since it expired if they head to arbitration.
