PROJECTS PUT CUMBERLAND COUNTY DAMAGE AT $20 MILLION

Flood DamageEarly estimates says Cumberland County will need $20 million to fix the damage caused by the storms from the past weekend. A statement was issued by Freeholder Director William Whelan. The $20 million is a total of estimates provided by individual townships and municipalities on what they believe their losses were.

“Our crews have done an incredible job getting more than a dozen roads reopened in the past 24 hours,” said Whelan. We’re now exploring all options for repairing our damaged infrastructure, securing emergency funding and keeping the county moving.”
