PROFITS DROP OVER 25 PERCENT FOR ATLANTIC CITY CASINOS

New gaming data shows a huge drop in revenue for the first quarter of this year. The Casino Control Commission shows a 25 percent drop year-to-year. The casinos reported a $111.2 million gross operating profit during the time period. Weather certainly was a problem, as bad weather knocked out some big weekends, including one that took place prior to the Super Bowl. Analysts also say that Pennsylvania’s success in the casino industry continues to hurt Atlantic City’s bottom line.
