PRIMARY DAY IS TUESDAY, CONTESTED ELECTIONS IN CAPE

120px-Seal_of_New_Jersey_svgTuesday is primary election day in New Jersey, and there are a few contested primaries in Cape May County.  County republicans are receiving a nominal challenge from a slate of candidates for the senate and assembly nominations.  Candidates endorsed by the republican party are expected to win easily.  In Dennis Township, three candidates are seeking two nominations to run for township committee on the democratic ticket.  They are Denis Crippen, Brian O’Conner, and Richard Spille Jr.  In North Wildwood, there is a contested primary on the republican ticket for a First Ward council seat; David Del Conte and Harry Hession are the two candidates.  And in Upper Township, republicans have a contest primary for a committee seat among republicans Frank Conrad and Antonio Inserra.   Polls are open Tuesday from 6:00am until 8:00pm.
