POLICE LOOKING INTO BURGLARIES IN SOMERS POINT

Somers Point PoliceA number of homes have had copper piping taking out from under them in Somers Point. Police say they are looking into the residential burglaries. Several homes, both vacant and occupied, have had their water supply copper pipe removed from their crawl spaces.

Somers Point Police are also investigating one case, involving a male on a bicycle carrying a large back pack that was seen leaving a vacant home. When confronted by a neighbor, he admitted to being in the home to steal copper. He is described as a black male, in his 40’s, riding a white cruiser type bicycle. He was wearing a black jacket at the time.

Somers Point Police want to identify and speak with the driver of a 1992 White Ford F-250 pickup truck with NJ registration A52DSV. If this vehicle is observed, please call Somers Point Police at 609-927-6161
