PHILLY MOBSTER ADMITS STAGING A ROBBERY TO COLLECT INSURANCE MONEY

A 67 year old member of a Philadelphia organized crime family has pleaded guilty to charges that he staged a robbery at a pawn shop in order to collect insurance money.  Salvatore Piccolo of Atlantic City admitted to that crime, and also to selling a half pound of methamphetamine to an undercover officer.  He could face up to ten years in prison.
