PENSION AND HEALTH BENEFITS REFORM CASE GOING BEFORE SUPREME COURT

120px-Seal_of_New_Jersey_svgThe state’s Supreme Court will fast track a case involving pension and health benefits reform. The legislation was passed in the state earlier this year, but a judge filed a lawsuit, contending that the state’s constitution barred judges from having a reduced salary. Courts have upheld the ruling so far, but the Supreme Court has said it will consider the case.
