PASSPORT FEES GOING UP NEXT WEEK

County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti has been notified by the U.S. Department of State that U.S. Passport fees will increase effective Tuesday, July 13.  The fee for a first time adult applicant for a U.S. Passport Book will increase to $135.00 from $100.00.  Fulginiti urges citizens needing a first time passport or renewal by mail to apply by July 12 before the fee increase.

Passport application fees for routine service will increase on July 13 as follows:

Adults renewing their U.S. Passports by mail will pay $110.00 (from 75.00) for routine service.

The County Clerk’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The office will be closed for the Independence Day Holiday on Monday, July 5, 2010.  For more details go to http://travel.state.gov/ or call the County Clerk’s Office at 465-1011.
