OTB’S POSSIBLE AT SOME BARS AND RESTAURANTS

“I’ll take a rum and coke and $10 on number 3 in the third.” You could hear phrases similar to that in New Jersey bars if a new piece of legislation is approved. The Senate and Assembly will be hearing a measure on Thursday to allow some bars and restaurants to take bets on horse racing. Panels in both houses will consider placing Off Track Betting terminals in these locations. Some lawmakers believe this will get the horse racing industry in front of a different crowd.
