OPEN CONTAINER REGULATIONS PROPOSED FOR ATLANTIC CITY BOARDWALK

This week Atlantic City Council is scheduled to vote on a measure to allow tourists to stroll the boardwalk carrying an alcoholic beverage. The proposal would amend the city’s alcohol ordinance to allow open containers on the boardwalk from Albany Avenue to Massachusetts Avenue, but not on Atlantic City streets or beaches. The ordinance stipulates that drink containers must bear the logo of an approved boardwalk bar where the drink was purchased.
