OOPS: UTILITY EARNED TOO MUCH MONEY

A New Jersey power company that’s come under intense fire for not doing a good job with restoring power after storms has overcharged its customers.  Jersey Central Power & Light made a profit of up to $90 million more than it should have over the past year.  Now, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities is looking into the issue.  The state says the overcharge is “very significant”, and it will kick off an investigation into the rates charged to utility customers.
