Offshore wind development could be a step closer to reality in New Jersey after today. Gov. Chris Christie is expected to sign into law a bill that will help the development of offshore wind turbines. Financial assistance will be provided by the state for these programs and the goal will be to have a minimum of 1,100 mega-watts of energy produced from the wind farms. A press conference will be held today.
