OFFICER SHOOTS AT PIT BULL IN MIDDLE TOWNSHIP

middle police logoA Cape May County Sheriff’s Officer shot at a pit bull dog that was charging him at a residence in Burleigh Friday as the officer was trying to serve a warrant.  Middle Township Police say the shot missed the pit bull, who retreated into the house; the dog had charged the officer causing him to fire his weapon.  45 year old Eugene Harris was eventually arrested at the scene and charged with Contempt of Court for failure to pay child support.
