Ocean City is ready to spend over $2 million for a parking lot near the boardwalk. The Ocean City Council met Monday and introduced a bond ordinance that would allocate up to $2.3 million for the purchase of a parcel of land near the boardwalk at 8th Street; the land would result in up to 70 additional parking spaces near the boardwalk. The Press of Atlantic City says the Boardwalk Merchants Association supports the purchase; the land is currently owned by 8th Street Development Group of Dennis Township.
