OCEAN CITY COPS CHARGE TEENAGER WITH ARMED ROBBERY

Ocean City Police have arrested a teenager from Somers Point on charges that he committed an armed robbery on Friday night. Police say they responded to a burglary in progress at a water park in Ocean City shortly before 7:00pm on Friday, June 4th. Police had to use pepper spray in order to subdue the suspect, identified as 19 year old Joseph Wigerman of Somers Point. Wigerman resisted arrest when he was chased down by two officers. He’s been charged with robbery, aggravated assault, and resisting arrest. Bail was set for Wigerman at $50,000 cash.
