NOT HAPPENING: OCEAN CITY CHANGES COURSE ON LAND DEAL

Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian announced that the city will back off plans of purchasing a car lot owned by two brothers.  Gillian says a local citizens group has submitted a petition that would put the question on a ballot which essentially negates the city’s purchase of the lot by the end of the month.  Ocean City was willing to spend $9 million dollars on the lot to prevent it from being developed.
