NORTH WILDWOOD HOPES TO SQUEEZE IN BEACH FILL

North Wildwood wants to do a beach fill, it just depends on timing. North Wildwood Mayor Bill Henfey told Coastal Broadcasting that if the dredges arrive on time in Avalon and can complete the fill project in Avalon and Sea Isle City be early to middle June, then North Wildwood will move on a beach fill project. Otherwise, the city is going to wait until after the summer. Henfey said getting the sand is necessary for shore protection, but he does not want the inconvenience for tourists during the height of the summer season. A final decision is expected soon by the city based on the arrival of the dredges.
