A North Jersey Assemblyman has called out Caesars for its attempts to open a casino in New York. Assemblyman Ralph Caputo, who chairs of the Assembly Tourism and Gaming Committee, issued a statement noting Caesars Entertainments’ years of opposition to expand gaming options in other parts of New Jersey. Caesars owns four casinos in Atlantic City. “For Caesars to impede the progress we could have made in New Jersey then go to New York to build is plain hypocrisy. This new move to build a casino resort in New York adds insult to injury.”
