NORTH END OF STATE ISSUED A DROUGHT WATCH

So far South Jersey has faired much better in regards to rain than the northern part of the state. The Department of Environmental Protection issued a water supply drought watch for most of the north end of the state. The hot conditions over the past week or so haven’t helped. Precipitation deficits over the past 90 days are as much as 40 percent below average in the north end of the state, while areas locally are above average.
