There will be no decision made on Wednesday to privatize toll collection operations on the Garden State Parkway and New Jersey Turnpike. The New Jersey Turnpike Authority has scrapped plans to vote on the controversial proposal this week. Four companies have made bids for the work. A turnpike spokesman says more time is needed to evaluate the bids that were submitted. Hundreds of toll takers fear they will lose their jobs if privatization occurs.
