NO CHARGES FILED IN DEERFIELD SHOOTOUT WITH STATE TROOPERS

No charges have been filed against a 76 year-old Cumberland County man, who exchanged gunfire with two N.J. State Troopers responding to a 911 call at the wrong address. Gerald Sykes was released from the hospital last week after being shot three times by the officers who were investigating a reported burglary. The troopers were not identified and have been placed on administrative leave until the investigation is completed.
