An attorney for a Somers Point man argued unsuccessfully to have his bail reduced for his client who caused the death of one man and injured another. Antonio Vargas, 22, was in court on Wednesday to lower his $350,000 bail on aggravated manslaughter and aggravated assault. The charges were the result of a January 6th accident that occurred when Vargus crashed his car outside a Somers Point bar, killing his passenger and injuring a bystander. Vargus was on his ninth driver’s license suspension at the time of the accident. The bail reduction was not granted and Vargus will remain in custody.
