The City Commission of Millville nixed a plan to sell alcohol by 9 a.m. on Independence Day. A number of bars and liquor stores asked that the city grant them a one-day exemption to sell alcohol beginning at 9 a.m. on Sunday, because of the large demand and crowds that are expected for the holiday weekend. Millville will be keeping their law that no alcohol can be sold prior to noon on Sunday.
