NJ TRANSIT VOTES ON FARE HIKES TODAY

Today the big vote comes in fare hikes that could see train service cost 25 percent more. Board members for the train authority will vote on the hikes to bus and train service. Local bus service would only see 10 percent increases based on a reworked proposal. Train service would increase by 25 percent. Some service will be cut as well. These moves were made following Gov. Chris Christie removing $300 million from its budget.
