NJ MAN CASHES IN $24 MILLION TICKET TWO DAYS BEFORE EXPIRATION

Imagine seeing a news report about a $24 million lottery ticket that was set to expire in 48 hours, reaching into your pocket, and finding the lucky ticket.  That’s what happened to 68 year old Jimmie Smith of East Orange who checked some tickets in a shirt pocket and discovered he had the winning ticket in a New York State lottery drawing.  Smith has been buying lottery tickets since the 1960s.
