NJ GAS TAX TO ADJUST UPWARD BY 4.3 CENTS OCTOBER 1ST

The gasoline tax in New Jersey will increase by 4.3 cents per gallon on October 1st. NJ.com reports that Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration can raise the gas tax according to the 2016 law that raised gas taxes 23 cents per gallon. The law provides for an automatic increase if the 23-cent gas tax brings in less revenue than expected, to keep funding on target.
