NEW TOP COP IN SOMERS POINT

The City of Somers Point swore in their new chief of police Thursday night. Michael Boyd, 54, has served in the department since 1987. He replaces former Chief Salvatore Armenia, who retired as of  Dec. 31st. In his remarks, Boyd said he was looking to address a crime issue in Somers Point within multiple apartment complexes and the city’s transient population.
