NEW TEXT MESSAGE COURT DECISION MAY BE MOOT

Remember that decision by state appeals courts that ruled that people could be subject to a lawsuit if they sent a text message to someone who they know is driving?  It may be moot.  Republican Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande is sponsoring a bill that would prohibit someone from being sued if they send a text message to someone who is likely driving.  Casagrande calls the decision a quote “sad state of affairs” in New Jersey.
